Frequently Asked Questions

Q: If I edit a journal or prompt entry, will the AI reflection update?
A: No, the AI reflection is generated only when you first save your entry. If you want a new reflection, you can create a new entry.
Q: How do I become a premium user?
A: You can upgrade to premium from your profile page or by clicking any 'Upgrade to Premium' button. Purchases are processed securely through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
Q: What features are premium-only?
A: Premium users get AI-powered reflections, weekly and monthly insights & analytics, voice input, unlimited journal entries and prompts, and priority support.
Q: What's the difference between Free and Premium reflections?
A: Free gives a quick 1-paragraph supportive reflection to help you steady. Premium and Lifetime add a deeper 3-paragraph reflection with more insight and gentle next steps.
Q: Is my data private and secure?
A: Yes, your data is completely private and secure. All journal entries and prompt responses are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption, stored locally on your device. Communication with our servers is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS, and your journal entries are private to your account only. We never read or share your personal thoughts. For detailed information about our security measures, visit our Security page.
Q: Can I delete my account?
A: Yes, you can delete your account at any time from your profile page. Please note: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data—including journal entries, AI reflections, prompt history, and insights—will be permanently deleted and cannot be restored. We care about your wellbeing, so please only proceed if you're certain this is right for you.
Q: Can I use the app offline?
A: Yes! SoulFrame works completely offline. Your entries are stored locally on your device and are always available, even without internet connection. Cloud backup is optional and can be enabled in your profile settings.
Q: How does cloud backup work?
A: Cloud backup is optional and user-controlled. If enabled, your data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS) in Firebase. Only you can access your encrypted data. You can enable or disable cloud backup at any time in your profile settings.
